Dark variegated reddish fawn brown (with hints of cocoa) hand-dyed Manx Loaghtan yarn.
Each 100 gram skein is approximately 120 metres of yarn.
The Manx Loughtan is a small sheep on the watch list of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, with spectacular horns and a versatile hard-wearing fleece. ‘Fallow’ was produced for the Triskelion Yarn British Yarns Club a few years back and we have a few surplus skeins eager to find a new home.
‘Fallow’ is inspired by the natural fawns and browns of the breed, resulting in this beautiful variegated reddish brown chunky yarn. It would make wonderful sweaters, hats or extra thick mitts, and is your chance to knit with a uniquely British wool!
This isn’t superwash treated, and I would recommend a hand-wash with gentle detergent in hand-hot water in order to keep the colours looking their best. The yarn has been kettle-dyed in a smoke-free and pet-friendly home, but no pets have had access to the fibre. Please be aware that, while I make every attempt to provide you with accurate photographs, the colours in them may vary from monitor to monitor.
